Meet: The Birdlady
IT ALL STARTED WHEN…
Chris R. Hairston-White (a.k.a. The Birdlady), Founder & Chief Curator of Flora & Finch, was raised and nurtured in Charles City County, Virginia. Her imagination and curiosity were just as expansive as the acreage of her family’s homestead. Growing up in rural Virginia gave space for her creativity to be encouraged by her loving family. It was the guidance of her parents and faith in God that lead her on a journey towards her passion - creating!
After graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia with a B.S. in Business Marketing, Chris launched into her marketing career as an Account Executive with Clear Channel Communication’s WRVA AM News Talk and its affiliated radio stations. Her sales and marketing experience attracted the financial industry where she spent over a decade climbing the corporate ladder ending her banking career as a Business Relationship Manager with Wells Fargo. Her next stop at Better Housing Coalition as Vice President of External Affairs gave her an opportunity to leverage her skills in the non-profit sector. She then took a deep breath and leaped into her next adventure. . . Flora & Finch!
We are more powerful when we empower each other
