Meet Suzanne Selby
Currently residing in Stafford, Virginia, Texas-born Suzanne Selby exemplifies how one can work, play, and live with passion and intention. Following her formal education in Interior Design, she always maintained a love for design. Suzanne owned and operated a children's retail boutique, Clever Tomato, a collective of modern furnishings created by designers and architects across the globe. Today, she’s the designer, woodworker and creative force behind Selby & Company.
Suzanne crafts her handmade and thoughtfully designed wood charcuterie boards from her home-based workshop. The shape of her boards is influenced by fine English silver salvers and her military family’s 25 year stint in Europe. Each unique piece is meticulously designed and made in Virginia with a single solid piece of wood selected from a locally sourced lumber yard. Suzanne explained how she discovered her passion, “I simply want to create, by hand, a small line of home goods. One might say I’m a hands-on designer.”
When not in her workshop, Suzanne enjoys spending time with family, raising her teenage children, gardening, visiting flea markets, antique shopping, and home remodeling projects.
